Stuart McMillan MSP (SNP) has today highlighted a response letter he received from the Scottish Government to his suggestion of bringing the Scottish cabinet to Inverclyde as part of their tour of Scotland.
Mr McMillan wrote to the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon MSP to ask that the Scottish Cabinet visits Inverclyde as it would be a great opportunity to meet businesses, individuals and local groups.
Mr McMillan said;
“I’m pleased to learn the Scottish Government is considering my proposal for the Cabinet to visit Inverclyde in the future.
“I believe this would be a great opportunity to meet businesses, individuals and local groups and to learn more about the Inverclyde area. Alongside this, it would provide a boost to the local economy.
“We have a lot here in Inverclyde to be positive about and I’m hopeful the Scottish Cabinet will visit the area, so I can highlight this and showcase our potential. I will continue to promote the area, in my capacity as an elected representative, as a positive destination and also encourage people to both visit and live here.”
