Stuart McMillan MSP said

“I was pleased to visit Oak Tree housing association and gain an insight into the valuable services they provide to the local area.”

“I met with Oak Tree’s Chief Executive, Nick Jardine, who highlighted the range of services provided by the organisation.

“As well as being part of the Inverclyde Common Housing Register, which allows housing applicants to fill in one form to apply for housing across a number of housing organisations, I was interested to learn of some of the initiatives their subsidiary Oak Tree Housing Initiatives Limited.

“This subsidiary acts as a letting agent to bring empty properties back into use with Inverclyde Council as a partner providing loan funding to owners who need help improving their properties to a standard that they can be let by Oak Tree.

“This is a good example of public and third sector organisations working together to provide a valuable service to local people.”
