SNP Stuart McMillan MSP has welcomed the Scottish Government’s announcement that projects in Central Scotland that support trees, woodlands and green infrastructure, encourage community growing or promote active travel can now apply for a share of up to £700,000.
Stuart McMillan stated,
“This is the latest phase of the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) Development Fund.
“The CSGN is Europe’s largest greenspace initiative which seeks to transform Central Scotland into a place where the environment adds value to the economy and where people’s lives are enriched by its quality. It is one of 14 national developments for Scotland created in the Scottish Government’s third National Planning Framework. The initiative is designated a national priority.
“The closing date for applications to the CSGN Development Fund is January 18, 2016 and I would like to encourage as many local organisations as possible to apply for the funding”
