Stuart McMillan MSP has welcomed the further success of Riverside Inverclyde on its bid to access regeneration funding from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund.
Riverside Inverclyde has been successful in Round 3 of this fund, obtaining £852,200 to help with the transformation of Port Glasgow town centre. This follows on from successes in the previous two rounds of funding in which £550,000 was awarded to the Port Glasgow Enterprise Initiative and £649,332 was awarded to the Custom House – Enterprise Workspace.
In addition, Inverclyde Council was also successful in round 2, receiving £397,308 for a horticultural training and community facility.
Commenting, Stuart McMillan MSP said:
“This funding from the Scottish Government has helped with the regeneration of the local area.
“Between Riverside Inverclyde and Inverclyde Council the area has received a total of £2,448,840 from the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund.”
