Greenock and Inverclyde MSP Stuart McMillan invites his fellow MSPs to help raise funds for charity by getting involved in his Pipeathon online auction which launches next week.
Stuart’s #Pipeathon17 saw him pipe at all 42 senior Scottish football clubs this summer who donated signed strips – along with some other exclusive items, including match day tickets and one club’s very own gin – for auction. The money raised will be divided between Andy Adams Fund, Clyde Cash for Kids and Clydeside Action on Asbestos.
Commenting, Mr McMillan said:
“This year’s Pipeathon was a great success and that comes down to all the organisations, clubs and individuals who worked hard to made it happen. I’m now urging my fellow MSPs to show their support for these charities by participating in my online auction next week.
“It’s a great opportunity to get your hands on a signed shirt from your home team, or even some extra special items that some clubs kindly donated, but ultimately it’s a chance to raise money for three hard-working and well deserving charities.
“Some MSPs have already had a look at what’s on offer and I’d like to thank them for supporting my Pipeathon and for raising awareness of the upcoming auction.”
MSPs can take a look at the items on offer at Stuart’s parliamentary office next week. The online auction will be hosted by McTears Auctioneers.
